Craig Parkinson is a well-trained and talented abstract artist. Since achieving his Certificate in Art from Sydney Institute of Technology in 1984 his training has continued and he now holds a Diploma of Arts (Illustration) from Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from Monash University, Melbourne. He has already won two awards - the Dux High-flyers Award from North Melbourne Institute of TAFE in 1996 and the prestigious National Gallery of Victoria Trustees Award from the Department of Fine Arts, Monash University in 2000. His work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions, most recently Explorations 2 at Flinders Lane Gallery in Melbourne.
