Doug Wright is a well-respected, senior artist whose sophisticated work is sought after by art lovers and collectors alike. His training include a Diploma of Fine Art in Painting from RMIT and for many years has shared his experience as a lecturer and later a Senior Lecturer in Painting at the University of Ballarat. His work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions over the years including several Australian Contemporary Art Fairs, held in Melbourne every two years and several Wynne Prize Exhibitions for landscapes at the Art Gallery of NSW, including Finalist in 1999, plus many solo exhibitions in private and public galleries around Australia.

Doug’s work has been documented in several textbooks and is included in numerous prestigious national, public and private collections in Australia and overseas. He lives and works in Ballarat, Victoria with his partner Anne Saunders the artist.
